Judy is delighted to be at Reading Is Fundamental as a Senior Marketing Manager taking on the responsibility of enthusiastically acquainting and engaging both new audiences, and faithful, longtime fans of RIF through our digital outlets.

With a strong background in project management, event planning, and promotion, Judy spent the bulk of her career working at Discovery Communications in several marketing roles for both Domestic Distribution and Discovery Education. Judy also brings additional award-winning marketing and creative experience having worked at an advertising agency, a retail start-up, and in local broadcasting, both in Washington, DC and Roanoke, Virginia.

Originally from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Judy is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech with a BA in Communication Studies. As an avid reader, a former RIF kid, and a mom of 3, the mission of Reading Is Fundamental is deeply personal. She appreciates the unique opportunity RIF offers to share the joy of books and help make happy readers.
