The Hope Chest

Eleven-year-old Violet’s older sister, Chloe, has left home and used her inheritance to buy a Model T car. Violet runs away to New York looking for her sister, but finds out that Chloe is now in Tennessee fighting for the suffragettes' cause. Violet becomes involved in the women's rights movement and witnesses the passage of the 19th Amendment.
